Our waka has arrived, organic, open and inviting.
A huge thanks to Gillie who project managed the installation of the waka, along with the manuka balustrades and rock steps and planting. To John Allen and Rob Strohdach our landscape designers and creators, thank you for sharing your craftsmanship. And to Isabelle, thank you for successfully gaining a grant to fund the project in the first place.
This area has certainly evolved and is now being utilised in some very inclusive and creative ways by inventive and imaginative groups of children. We have seen fishing trips, sailing trips to America and the latest was some impressive water skiing!
